Mary Sullivan

I am a Person-centered counsellor believing and trusting that every client I see has the power and awareness within themselves to work out their problems and reach their potential if offered a supportive and trusting relationship. Parenting can be a lonely road and if you are considering starting counselling for the first time it will be one of the bravest steps you have ever made, potentially, one of the best. If you’re struggling on your own or to find a solution, make sense of things, or to find a way forward, counselling is a place, outside of immediate circle of family and friends where you can experience being listened to without judgment and where you can feel understood.

I will offer you a safe caring space to be heard, understood and trusted in a non-judgmental way. Together we will explore your thoughts and feeling and current life situations and difficulties. I have found that having someone to share this task, to witness experience without judgement can be incredibly helpful towards reaching a place of growth and better self-understanding.

A member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and bound to it’s Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and subject to the Professional Conduct Procedure therein. I am fully insured. I have experience working with loss and bereavement and an awareness of how loss might impact on relationships.
