I am a Holistic Life Coach with twenty years experience working with young people and adults, first in education (12 years), and since then through various therapeutic modalities.
After leaving teaching, I helped set up the Eastbourne community of A Band Of Brothers, which offers rites-of-passage experiences and mentoring to young ex-offenders. I saw through this work the great need young people have to really be seen and heard, and how easily families can unravel as a result of the pressures our culture, and our personal struggles, place on us all.
It really does take a village to raise a child, and too often I have seen how both our young people, and parents, simply haven’t received the support or resources they need to provide a healthy, thriving environment in which they feel valued and fulfilled.
Inspired by my time with ABOB, where I learnt a range of valuable skills, I went on to qualify as an ILM Certified Level 5 Life Coach. I have developed a practice which draws upon NLP-based coaching interventions, with an emphasis on somatic (body-centred) awareness, as well as many years experience with Ayurveda, internal martial arts and meditation, to meet people where they are and offer a diverse and effective range of solutions.
